About Me
Collin Gozick is a 5th year student in Penn State University's Architectural Engineering Program in the construction option. He will graduate with a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering degree in the spring of 2019. With a degree from the AE program, he looks to work for a large general contractor in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Being a member of the Architectural Engineering Program has led Collin to valuable internship experience during his summers. In 2017, Collin worked with a local general contractor in State College, PA in their pre-construction department. He helped to create bids for upcoming projects in the company’s future by performing takeoffs and providing estimates for portions of work of the projects. In the summer of 2018, Collin interned at Clark Construction, a large general contractor in the Washington DC area. Here, he worked in the operations department, being placed on a $100 million museum project in northern Virginia. This internship allowed Collin to learn how to create RFIs and submittals, among other office duties. He also gained experience in quality control of interior build-outs and surveying work, while also obtaining his OSHA-30 Industry Safety Training.
Outside of his academic work, Collin is involved with multiple clubs that Penn State has to offer. He is a member of the Student Society of Architectural Engineers (SSAE) and of the OPPerations committee for THON. He is a member of the Ski Club, Club Croquet and plays on multiple intramural teams. In his free time, he likes to hike, hang out with friends, and watch college football.
